Maybe its the “stance” of it…it just looks “right”. I see they kept the earlier year’s slim bumpers in the back. I wonder if all your Dad did was update the front grill assy to the newer year and kept the rest of the car the same as previous years.
My understanding is that this was a fresh build to replace the old Pinto, Mustang II and the 4-door Maverick. The cars used in the ’75 season had been built from late ’72 to mid-point of ’74.
Got it…this was the changeover year to update the entire chassis and body.
