This is the ex-Barrie Poole Pinto that was purchased by Gapp and Roush and ran during the 1973 season. It was later destroyed.

The picture below is a fairly typical scene. My Dad (right) refers to Bill (left) as what the teams call today the ‘Crew Chief’. This image was taken by Kenneth Wilkins @ Bristol in 1973.
FYI – Kenny owns the ‘Country Shindig’ Maverick, one of my favorite non-Gapp & Roush cars.

Gapp and Roush 1973 Pinto – picture from Pomona
Tom Kasch has been scanning some photos and sending them along. This image was taken at nearly the same time as this classic image (just before I think). This photo was used in a Accel ad.
